Hey Wess - I have a copy -- it has been out of print for quite a while - lots of intersting leads -- Capt Bob T

Try researching the fur trappers like Pierre Radisson and others. The hudson bay company was founded by radisson after he deserted the french.

A great book about pierre radisson is called ....Captured by the Mohawks. True story of his life and times in the latter 1600's in french canada.

Hey I live in belleville On. I have a couple books. I also can probably tell you every treasure tale you will hear up hear from the seven year war to jessie james loot in milliken twp...lol

I've written to the owner of this site asking if he could provide a reference for one of the stories. Anyway, there are some fantastic ones here... The Lost Treasure of Ontario

I'm particularly interested in a source for the claim that Cortes (or Cortez) the Spanish conquistador buried a treasure near Sarnia Ontario. THAT would be nice to find. Supposedly it was on a pack train. Can you imagine a pack train's worth of gold? How many mules in a pack train? Would have to be a significant number and they can carry quite a bit each.

Very interesting stuff, and there are other stories there too.

I too am very interested in this subject. If any info is available on this, could you please point me in the right direction so that I can do some research.
It would be greatly appreciated.

I've seen that site before. Some interesting stuff on there. Anyone ever take a crack of any of them? Being way up in Sault Ste. Marie I'm too far away from most of them. :BangHead:
