Lost rings, Need help. N. TX

Posted this in Texas region. I was contacted from a person that said they lost a couple rings at a lake north of Dallas in 3 feet of water. My Ace 250 isn't the best to recover this. Anybody else more equipped to handle this? And also what are the best ways of checking to see if this is authentic and not somebody who is trying to make a buck and someone else misfortune? Let me know, we can try together or some other way
