What cracks me up about these books is: if one really knew where the treasures were, why write a book about it? Go out and find them!! Then, a book won't be necessary. Maybe the writer knows the odds of finding treasures are lower than making $$ from a book. I am sure it is an interesting read, though.

Yeah ... or the long distance gold finders.
If you had one that really worked why would you ever sell it?
You could get as wealthy as you wanted finding gold from far far away.
