Lost Huawei P20 Pro on road from Annascaul to Inch beach

If anyone can help, I would be sooo grateful. . We were on holiday in Ireland from South Africa and did not realise my sister had left her phone on the roof of the car while helping my elderly Dad into car. We heard something roll off the roof on the road from Annascaul to Inch Beach, but we were not able to stop and did not know it was her mobile phone. My sister's cell / mobile phone has all our holiday photos, as well as, some very sentimental photos of friends that are no longer with us. If anyone could help with locating it with a metal detector we would be so grateful. We looked and looked but could not find it in the foliage.
