lost gold ring

I wouldn't. Not sure of Bountry Hunter and how they descrim out iron. Just be safe a go all metal. No chance of missing it then!

Turn your sensitivity way down if it has one......it will be on top of the ground and may help you move over anything with depth easier.

No disc. it is most liklely just sitting on top of the ground so it will not be hard to find. Every time you hear a beep just look for it, if you do not find it on top of the ground then mark the spot with a golf tee and keep on hunting. After you find the ring you can go back and dig up all the targets market by the golf tees...

Ok ill use all metal ,going tomorrow is a large nugget ring so see if I can find it

A "large nuggett ring" will read way above iron range. Ie.: no danger of missing it, if you disc'd out iron. The only rings that read down so low, that you'd want to edit in iron, would be thin dainty ladies platinum rings, or wire gold rings, etc... Anything as beefy as you describe, is going to read nickel or higher, no problem.

So if you find that by going in all-metal mode (as opposed to disc. mode and tuning out iron) that you find too many nails in your orchard, don't be afraid to go in a mode where you loose iron. JMHO.

If you start finding aluminum shrapnel (from orchard plows hitting aluminum cans) then you'll know you're on the right track. Because smaller fragments of aluminum (thumbnail sized, for example) will read in the range your ring will read in (when speaking in terms of TID readings, that is). And if the ring was a REAL big mans gold ring, it might even read up into the square tab or zinc penny range (which would be about like a larger wad of aluminum, wadded up domino sized piece of aluminum can shrapnel).

yeah I'm going to my brother in laws house probably take a while it's a large 3 acre farm, taking toms advise and see what happens keep u posted

If they can't find a big gold ring, they're unlikely to find a golf tee in a 3 acre orchard. If you want to find the ring first and come back later for the other targets, use a flag on a wire or a stake with a ribbon. If you have the time, just dig them as you find them. Disc out the iron, retrace his steps, and go for it!

Ok spend about 2hrs looking but no luck just pt and other trash alot if area cover try again on sunday

Work on the BinL to really try to narrow down the areas it may have been lost.
