I'm gonna try to find a lost gold mine here in colorado. It wasn't ever a real mine it was just a spot where the old man who found it would make a trip up there every couple weeks and get some gold . Its not one of the well known diggings but I want to try and find it to see how much gold the old man left. I will update this thread when I make the first trip to the old mans diggings. I will be giving half of the gold I find to the old mans family.

good luck, that will give you some good karma!

It should be fun but I'll have to take a slow runner with me just in case I get chased by a bear.

Good luck on finding his diggings ........ Do you have a map? Landmarks? Did he have a claim?
Just wondering how you will go about finding his spot.
I enjoy looking for lost mines as much for the adventure as anything.

Don't worry I'm not looking for an invitation (I'm too slow of a runner) :laughing7:

Have fun,
GG~

 Just get some good strong pepperspray with the glowing orange color. Then the bears will have condiments and searchers will know in what pile a poop your remains are in?? All joking aside they are not really much trouble if you keep a clean camp and watch out for sows with babies--like all things female they have NO sense of humor with young around. tons a au 2 u 2-John

Yes I know where the diggings are . The old mans family told me exactly where they are and they gave me his map that he made so I could find the diggings. I'll have to wait til the snow melts before I can head that way.
