Found this while walking the fields in Texas after the hard rains earlier this year washed it out.
It is very hard and heavy, and I am a bit baffled by the "polishing" on the sides and bottom. I thought terracotta, or brick at first, but its characteristics lead me to question that.
Any thoughts?

I also found the arrowhead in the same field. I posted it on The North American Indian Artifacts board hoping for an ID, but have not gotten one, so if you have any thoughts on it as well, I would love to hear them.
