Detected this chunk of silver looking metal last week. About 14.5 ounces, wedge shaped, about 1.5 x 2 x 3 inches. Very shiny silver looking metal except for one end. That end is more of a flat gray color... maybe from melting. Not attracted to a magnet. Buried in the yard of a 1950's residence. Reminds me of a chunk of coal but it's far heavier and silver instead of black.
What do I have? I am attaching bigger photos since someone complained about the size I sent last week.

I don't know but it is a cool looking rock unlike some of the stuff that is posted. And in a back yard means it could have been harvested from anywhere and brought home for lawn art.
Good luck....hope its palladium!

Check out "Bismuth Ingot" on google images ... also, interesting, "diamagnetic" and how bismuth applies.

I did not find out if it is Bismuth or not but I did learn, "Ultrathin bismuth tungstate nanosheets is an effective photo-assisted support for electrocatalytic methanol oxidation." So, I got smarter!
