Always something interesting coming out of the Phillipines. Of course Breezie is correct. I actually have an oil lamp with the exact design on the base. I have it packed away so I cant take a pic but I keep it for hurricanes. Yours is missing the globe but buy yourself some lamp oil and a wick and you have a good emergency lamp.

The term "ancient" usually refers to about 1000 years ago and does not apply here. The word "antique" is better.. Where did you find it? It could have been used in WWII.

Mine is very similar. Its a large lamp and heavy. I found mine in a dumpster. I actually found two.
