Found this years ago in east texas. Is this porcelin? Early marbles were made of what? Did the Native Americans use marbles or extremely round stones? WTHeck, over?

Heck, didn't include anything for size reference. About the diameter of a nickel.

Looks like a clay marble.. 1880 -1910

Yep looks like a marble to me too. But...

Look really close and see if there is a metal wire in it anywhere.
Use a magnet and try to find a wire too.

I found what I thought was a marble but it had a bit of wire coming out of it.

I asked around and was told it was a fishing weight, probably made by a soldier.
It has some fingerprints on it and looks like it was camp fired clay.

Sadly it was lost 'sniff'

It's a marble made of either clay or porcelain.
