Looks like a Metal Snowman Hat!

This thing is about 1 cubic inch and from one angle, looks like a snowman top hat. It has an indentation on the one side. Found this in my backyard (114 year old farmhouse). Thanks for any ideas in advance!

hmmm... you remember those things on the wheels of a toy? That kept the wheels on...that is what that appears to be...i could be wrong though
