I dug this button last weekend at a 1800's homesite. It looks a lot like other two piece cuff buttons from the CW period so I assumed that it was until I started researching the backmark. The backmark reads "The H.A. Co. Kalamazoo, Mich". Based on what I can find this was made by The Henderson Ames Co. and dates only to 1890.
So I know its a post CW button but what I don't know is what the "P" stands for. I know its not Polo because this home was torn down sometime around 1940 . Can anyone help ID this?
