I looked on Google earth to get a rough idea where it is based on the details. If it did hit lookout mountain in that area then it is all privately owned land. I live about 5 miles from the area described.

Thanks for the advice. I almost didn't post the info I found but I thought I might get some interesting feedback. I recently moved to Lookout Mountain from Florida and am in between metal detectors. I sold my Surfmaster PI and am looking to buy a more appropriate unit. I have no idea where to start when hunting for meteorites but it will be interesting to pursue.
