Look'n for an old read ??

Contemporary writings about history , can be a good read ,.. But a historical contemporary writing can even be better ! !
Anyway , looking for suggestions for some more books like the one’s here I’ll describe and highly recommend for a “Good Old Read” .
The first book I recommend is , Bacon & Beans from a Gold Pan ; published by Panorama West Publishing . The story , Jesse and Dot Coffey’s life during the depression [1935-] , panning and sluicing for gold . Now , this book you don’t have to be “into gold” to enjoy it ...but if you are ,it’s even better !!!
The second book is , “Dear Charlie Letters” ; Published by Mariposa Museum and History Center . The story , book based on letters written by Horace C. Snow , from 1853-1855 , about life in the goldfields in and around Mariposa Ca .
And Blindpig’s third and final recommendation for old read’s is ,.. The Diary Of A 49er ; published by High Grass Publications . This book was first published in 1906 . The story ,...well, the title says it all .....
All of these books are a great read , ... especially , if you like a bit of Gold in your History... ;D
Anyway , I’d like to hear your recommendations,.. For an “Old Read”

Thank’s ,.. Blindpig

:read2: GOLD!GOLD! by Lowell Klappholtz contains the perils of the gold rushes here and in the Klondike. 1959-1st edition.
Handbook for prospectors and Operators of Small Mines-1st Edition 1943-by Bernewitz & Chellson contains it all-from law to ore tests and everything in between. Fun read especially when ya read what supplies needed to be bought to be a successful miner in dayz of old when miners were bold and environutz were not around.-tons a au 2 u 2-John :icon_sunny:
