I have a garmin etrex and ive been using it for geocaching and general hiking for about 5 years. It was 89 dollars. the only problem i have with it is that it has no maps and i cant hook it up to my pc. It tells me full info at well under 2.5 mph. I would suggest any garmin handheld gps. mine is the lowest end model and it has been extremely good to me.

My first gps was an e-trex legend - small antenna, still have it for backup. Now I use a map60c - bigger antenna, way more memory. Use it for geocaching, logging bike rides, hikes and new MD sites. Both will download to pc, map60c cable is more robust. Buy Natl. Geographic software for about $100 for a group of 3 states (in most cases). Will print out map, plus elevation and has a 3-d flyover feature.

Just bought the Etrex Vista CX. I was wondering if the TOPO maps are worth getting for this unit. 99.00

Oh yeah sorry for being stupid but what is GEO caching?
