I found these markers yesterday and would like some input as to what you think they may mean. The first one I am pretty sure is a marker for which fork to take as I found it at the fork of a dry wash here in Southern California. The second I am not too sure of.

If you look at this trail marker there is a bump on the right side as shown in your picture.
If the trail splits the main trail for walkers and animals is on the right.
