Dang Jeff,
Thats a nice find!!! Keep pounding!!! You da man!!!
Hows that brand new XLT working???

Nice find! Here's one on ebay - not as old as yours. Looks like they are worth a few $$$ in good condition.

Ebay Item number: 350012625061

The variety that you found is listed as undated but, "Issued after WWII" in Connors' Price Guide to American & Canadian Chauffeur Badges. In the most recent edition (1994), it was valued at $55 (nondug, original pin intact). The total number issued is unknown, but the highest badge number so far reported is #8591.

Thanks for everybodys input on this thing, I'm going to do some research, this badge must be pretty old with such a low ID number. I'm going to search the same area again and see what else is up there. I'm pretty sure there was an old house on this spot. So who knows what may be lurking under the dirt.
