Dear Boarders,

I am a simple & ordinary businessman from a non-descript town by the name of Cuttack in India’s State of Orissa. I too have this long unfulfilled desire of going prospecting in quite a few places I have in mind where I am sure we could find a lot of success with regard to unearthing old gold & precious stones. Now, you may surely have this question in mind that if I am so sure of the location where we might find gold then why am I looking for a partner ? Well, although I do have a reasonably high confidence of finding some old treasures but I do not have the finance to put up the state-of-the-art equipment for this type of a venture & that is precisely the reason why I am looking for a partner.

Well, although we are located 5000 miles apart & have no inkling of each other’s intent / integrity but to that I can only say that we'll just have to trust each other because if we are successful we really don't have anything to worry about & if (God forbidding) we are not then all one loses is the effort & some money, of course, (money for travelling to those locales which are all within India).
Considering the fact that you must be having all the equipments & the experience (since I do not have an iota of experience in this line) necessary for this kind of an expedition, I would like to make an offer of partnership for prospecting. The finer details can always be worked out later on when you decide to respond to my offer.

I have this very simple request to make that if you are not interested, I would be hugely obliged if you could pass this message of mine to prospectors in your group who might want to try their luck and hand with me.

Welcome to TreasureNet RAJEEV !

My suggestion would be to stick with looking for members from your area

TreasureNet By Location

Mainly because Paranoia of being Scammed causes members to make accusations.

and accusations can get members Banned 8-)

anyway Good luck in your Search

and keep us updated on your adventures

best of luck.:icon_thumright:

Dear Jeff,

While thanking you for your earnest response, I would like you to know that treasure hunting is still not very well known nor practiced here in India which was why i sought to use the platform in Treasurenet to get my word across to people. I am pretty confident of the spots i have in mind for prospecting and the simple reason i can provide is the fact that India is a country with a glorious history of 5000 years & as everyone is aware that not until recently (about 100 years) do we have banks where people safekeep their valuables. Prior to that, people had been safekeeping their valuables in the ground & there have been quite a few major finds in the recent past where people have found huge quantities of gold. If you want me to send u this news item wherein the find has been reported, i can do so. The only hurdle, in my case, is that i do not have the resources nor the expertise to handle the equipments required for this sort of a venture. Hence, i thought of posting my case on the forum boards in Treasurenet in the hope that someone who is willing to take the chance might respond.

regards,

rajeev

What specific items are you looking for and at what estimated depth? Frank... 111-1 profile.jpg

Rajeev, what type of equipment would be required to find and recover the old gold?

hi frank, i'd like you to know that India is a country with a glorious 5000 year history with the last 500 years being the most eventful & tumultuous. Almost all major cities of yesteryears have been attacked & taken over by marauding armies from the North like the Mughals & Afghans & also due to infighting between the various Princely states and the general populace had to flee their homes leaving behind valuables hidden in some corner or the other (near some landmark or the other). And we all know that in those times (1500 A.D - 1850 A.D) there were no banks and earth was the only place where people could safely keep their valuables. To vouch for this theory of mine, I could send you newsitems which keep coming up in various newspapers from time to time regarding finds of huge proportions. Recently there was this find of 500 kgs of gold in a field in North India (Near Muzaffarnagar). These finds only lend credence to my above mentioned theory. Right from my childhood days, I have always been pretty curious & intrigued by the history of our country & have been a regular history tracker. I have this strong gut feel that we could strike gold with not much effort & have quite a few places in mind to explore. But, as i had earlier mentioned, i don't have the expertise in handling the equipments nor the finance to put up the equipments required for this sort of a venture. Hence, i feel an equipment, which could indicate the presence of gold upto 10 feet, would be ideal. Your second query regarding what we would be looking for - that's gold & ancient artifacts like mohurs (gold coins), gold jewellery etc.

Rajeev, You sound sincere, but the hurdles involved are going to scare most away. For instance, what is the Indian law regarding non-nationals taking relics and artifacts out of country? You have a very good command of English but do you only believe this venture is based on "theory", as you mention? Do you mean the "methods" you will use are theory or are the locations you have in mind theory? As Jeff mentions above, locals in your area would be a good place to finance your adventure. International law may prohibit or greatly hamper your request for financing or materiél from abroad. TTC
