I actually found this last week! Was walking through the woods on county property and ran straight into this Old Stacked Stone Springhouse Doesn't this just scream artifacts The picture comes from my phone, so I hope it comes out OK

I've got two of these ancient buildings on my property, maybe a little more crumbled and collapsed than yours, and with larger building stones. I get signals, but can't lift the big stones out of the way to get to the find. The few successful digs produced rusty iron scrap and 10 inch spike/nails probably used for the extinct roof, so I have lost interest in my searching, but always have a gnawing feeling to organize the rock lifting with cables and a winch everytime I look at them..Maybe one day.

Thank you everone! I will try to get permission to hunt there later on. I work for the County and help take care of there grounds, but this area, (where I happened to be working that day) is run and maintained by a separate County Dept. I will keep all of you posted if I get to hunt it! Thanks and God bless!

If there is a spring house there has to be a main building someplace close by, and a old privy you can dig out too......
