I found this in a cornfield in Northampton County, PA.
The object is about 2 1/2" - 3" long and maybe 2" wide on the cross bar, it's made out of iron as its magnetic. The property dates to about 1860 that i can find, had a different owner around 1874 and a third owner in 1900, there's also a road that runs along the property that would have been a country carriage road that dates even earlier than that. There are also 2 churches that are around 240 years old not far from the field and not far down the road was a parsonage for one of said churches.
My question is, is this what it appears to be which is a cross with a loop for a rosary(?) perhaps or something else that someone (or someones) might recognize and have information on. Or if not who might be the best people to contact?
Thanks for any information someone may have 😊
