Holy Moly! That's a humongous chunk of silver. What's the story behind them?

Wow is all I can say. That is some sweet looking loot. Maybe one day I will find somrthing that nice. Congrats!

The value of the 1804 is astounding, look it up! There is alot more to this story

Gotta wonder what base boards of what old house got pulled up to find those beauties :) Nice!

Everyone needs to know the story behind these coins, my metal detecting buddy bought these off of ebay for $300. And they are absolutely FAKE! made in China! They look and feel authentic. They even tumble them to give them wear. Google search this and see the truth. The Chinese are flooding the U. S. With these fakes. They are even slabing them and making them look legit.

My friend found out that the only difference is a slight weight difference of 7 grams. I held them in my hand and I was completely fooled, they are made with real mint dies, exact copies, even the edges of the coins are accurate. These coins are everywhere.. The 1804 is worth 2.5 million dollars if it was real.

My friend called the guy on the sham and he admitted that they were fakes, so he offered him 300 more of them for $3 a piece, he bought them and has been selling them for $5 a piece at car shows as fakes, people still want them and he has sold all but twenty of them! My friend even took them to a coin dealer and he bought three of them for $200! He then told the dealer that they were fakes and he didn't believe him and wouldn't take his $200 back until my friend had him weigh them. LOOK THIS UP ON GOOGLE. THE WEBSITE THAT I WENT TO WAS ABOUT COINS. COM. Or something along those lines.

I was totally disheartened by these coins, if you get on the internet and see these pictures of thousands of these coins you will be totally amazed, not only are they doing dollars, but halves, quarters, and even dimes. They shut a coin show down in Dallas recently when it was found that close to 90 % of the silver dollars there were fakes.

The problem with these counterfits compared to say sunglasses or shoes is the presumed value is astronomical and there are no obvious clues to them being fakes. Believe me if they are in small town Arkansas they are everywhere.

BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!

They are one step away from flooding our country with the currency we are presently using! Who's to know?
This is getting insane!

As soon as I saw the first one, I knew the rest were fake.

If it sounds too good to be true it probably is. Buyer beware.

Problem is alot of them are not the most valuable coins, some are not so flashy as the 1804!

I'm with jerseyben on this one. Was 95% sure the first one was fake & 100% sure after seeing the second.

Yep and they are even making Eisenhower dollars.

I was smelling something fishy from the get go with those photos, lol. Glad to see I was right. So did your friend get their money back and report the seller/s?

This is what happens when your number one trading partner is a bunch of damn Communists. You lie down with dogs, you get fleas.

I believe that they are silver coated like clad, but all details and dimensions are exact

This is one reason that I prefer digging my coins...They may be able to fake them but they still haven't figured out how to get'em in the ground 50 years ago...ddf

I'm seeing those in antique stores and flea markets. Sometimes they even list them as fakes. Also I've seen fake Chinese silver bars. I was even shown a silver bar that was fake by a gold and silver buyer that had a lead core. He admitted he got took on it and the seller used a fake ID on him as he's required to keep a list of the folks he buys from.
