I found the general area of a a Civil War site many, many years ago and I finally got around to hunting again today. Unfortunately, I found a bunch of crap THEN I got this signal.
I was so excited yo show it to yall that I haven't cleaned it, other than carrying it in my mouth for a while so some of the dirt soaked off.
If you cant tell, it is a skinny pelican(the state bird of Louisiana) with the head crooked to our right.
I've never found a Louisiana button before, I usually hunt in LA or TX and am in LA right now. I've seen a number that were found in VA in camps but I've never seen one found here. I dont have my Albert's Button Book so I dont know the specifics on the button but I can see a backmark.
I'll post another pic when it's cleaned
