Look at this!!

Very common in my area.:BangHead:

They build on past cultures.

My town is one that is guilty.

Blame the city and the government.

They destroy tons and tons in the name of progress.

It is not just Wal Mart though.

Woe to the man who picks up a displaced artifact from destruction.

That is just horrible. My site has an office on it and several warehouses and down the road another site was totally wiped out for a Home Depot.

The land clearing has just begun on a 1 quarter mile long stretch of nearly continuous midden in St. Lucie county Florida.

If you would like to live On this former Native American site They are taking deposits now. There are 2 and 3 bedroom units Starting at 500,000 And going up to 750,000.
In the sales pitch they boast about the natural beauty of the area.. and a few sentences down in the same paragraph they quote the developer saying how happy he is to be able to build on 1 of the last undeveloped pieces of land on South Hutchinson Island.

I put a detour sign up in Ohio for that shi$$.

Come on down..
Northern money is a staple of the economy down here. It seems the idea is to promote the place as a southern tropical paradise.. then turn it into a concrete covered northern city to make everyone comfortable. Just like home I suppose.

Big money can plow mounds over, but we can't hunt river banks, without being hunted? This is bull. I don't believe in coincidences. Wal-mart is all about buy cheap, sell cheap. A conspiracy to further banish the Native people is in place, and running well. For what ever reason, sacred Native American sites are being zoned commercial and sold cheap. After a super center is put up, no studies can be done on the past occupants of the land. Gov. Doesn't want us finding and studying artifacts. I think a fear of the Native people still exist. The gov. Still fears the "savage life style" as Ben Franklin called it. Franklin said if old world settlers ever lived the "savage life style", they would never come back to a government ran life style. Is it possible that we don't really need our 9-5 jobs to survive? The land will still support us.... with less stress? Ummmh?

People have changed very little if any in the last 500 years here in North America. The same things For the same reasons Are still being done... Just on a larger scale.. With different technology. Finding justifications To explain away The central goal To the general public Is the way it's always been done.
If you read the laws regarding historical resources they define objects of over 50 years of age as part of Florida heritage and part of the people's trust. In effect they belong to all of the citizens... yet the roots of much older trees that have been holding that ground together and creating their own ecosystem are bulldozed away without blinking an eye.. to make way for concrete structures that will serve as temporary housing for walking bank accounts.

That's just wrong...there's so many other places they could build, plus the Walmart companies are loaded so it wouldn't matter that much to them where they put it, it's still going to generate revenue...makes me sick to think about...

I'm not an Indian burial expert but as any arrowheads that I find everywhere means there were millions of Indians running around everywhere over the last 15000 or so years. I think the native Americans got a worse deal than the slaves from Africa. The thing is we are here and expand, if its a questionable place I understand the outcry but I'm sure people are buried every where we walk. We have people being dug up in 200 year old cemeteries all the time in unmarked graves. I'm not saying if it an obvious mound plow it over but tell me where Native American free soil is?

If WE dig it it's wrong. If THEY dig it it's ok? The POWER OF MONEY is NEVERENDING!!!!! HH

I'm sure if the story is true then the land is in a prime place for a Walmart. I hope it's not true but I wouldn't bet on it.

Of course Native American scrapers and points can be found most any place in my neck of the woods. Their is no over abundance of artifacts, but, yes, proof of their presence can be seen. However, grave sites and mounds are rare around here. I would say they are rare due to this type of disrespect. Ethnic cleansing was the goal that our forefathers sought. Cognitive dissidence was the tactic used by every leader throughout world history, with the agenda of wiping out a whole culture. Hitler dehumanized the Jews. He had studied early American history thoroughly. The tactics Hitler used were those of men that are held in high regards among Americans. However, in school my teachers and my history book spoke of Hitler as evil in its purest form. Thomas Jefferson, on the other hand, was a great man. With these teachings, it's obvious that America hasn't stepped up to the podium and said, we were wrong. Germany has, and though they aren't proud of their country's past, they have yet to replace a gas chamber with a Walmart, as far as I know. They accept the wrong that took place in the history of their country and don't tear memories of the halocoaust down. It looks as if America can eliminate any burial mounds and scare people away from hunting artifacts, the whole evil beginning will be forgotten in three generations. That is my view on this. Believe me, walmart could build any where in the sticks, and people would pile in. Their name is so big, and at one time prominent that they could not go wrong. When Sam Walton was alive, walmart carried out the most appealing business tactics ever seen in this country. After his death, they fell to the absolute worst tactics. I really do not think Walmart is at total Blame, but it reflects on them. This burial land is going cheap, believe me, if walmart is buying grave yard after grave yard. I deal with huge grocery chains for a living. I know a little more about walmart's greed and how they direct business with smaller businesses. Sorry for the rant. It's just I have been waiting for the day that Americans open their eyes and realize what walmart has done to damage small business in our country. They have no respect....well.... Accept for respect for money, which has the faces of, who on it??
