I am talking about in the garage sales section...
You guys are killing it lately.
So here are some of mine from past few weekends:
-6 small gold post earrings (14k) from yard sales and 1 thrift - 50 cents each
-pair of Taxco earrings from thrift - $2
-gold/diamond stick pin from thrift - $1 (update: confirmed 10k)
-a few decent sterling chains - $1 each
-nice older Alpaca/Mexico belt buckle with huge turquoise stone in center - $6
-newer Ryobi auto hammer lithium battery and charger - $5 (update: auto hammer works great, keeping for myself)
-basket of cords for scrap plus huge bundle of speaker wire (which is what I actually wanted) - $5
-7 LPs beatles, stones, pink floyd, black sabbath - $5 (yes please all day every day!!!)
-bundle of bulk 45s - $7 (nothing great but paid less than 25 cents each)
-2 surplus ammo cans - $6 each
-one of the above ammo cans was filled with brass plumbers fittings and pieces of scrap copper (looks like an easy $50 in scrap) - $11
-original wall charger/AC plug for sony PSP (been looking for one of these to go with the PSP I bought with no charger back in June) - $1
-HUGE surplus ammo can (already sanded and painted the rusty bottom) - free
-unused 15 quart oil catch can - free
-small Craftsman sawzall - $19 (been trying to buy one of these for 3 years)
-small oil painting signed L. Parsini, ended up being a 1960s itailian oil painting - only saw a few other examples of her work online but the one I saw on ebay was listed at $1250 so I am hopeful this is a huge score!!! - only paid $1 (update: probably only worth $100-200 based on further research but still a great score)
Here is a little unusual score: Went to the junkyard to grab some windshield trim for my truck. Ended up grabbing a nice full size diamondplate tailgate cover for my truck for $25. These are close to $100 + shipping online so that was a good score.
