These I took on the way to the wonderful state of Nevada last Monday. The route I took was I70 west across Colorado and then north into the Book Cliffs to Rangley where I go past the Fremont sites and stopped at a place called, waving hands and to visit one of my favorite is the art they call the Guardian and a nice place for the cliff swallows to build their mud nest and keep the Guardian company. The Guardian has been there for a very long time and has no doubt seen many things pass by, not to mention many generations of cliff swallows come and go. We have lots of cliff swallows around here, but they've all taken up residence beneath all the bridges and over passes we have and doing all of us a favor in keeping the pesky insects from bugging us. From there I take Utah 40 up to I80 west. Last picture is heading west into the setting sun across the Bonneville salt flats and then on to Elko NV for the night.
