Sorry, Weird Things Happening While Trying To Post

The axes/halbreds, the button thing, and the griffin are from an old homestead site
the racecar is from my yard and two stamped pieces with mirror images attached together, very thin metal maybe a toy of some sort and guessing 20s ish based on patten
the Triangles are heavy cast iron found near an old barn foundation the words stamped inside are very hard to read my best guess is No 7 or 8 steel h.o.

really stumped by most of these, was curious if anyone recognized any of them

I'm gonna say the top picture was mounted to a trunk or piece of furniture, that had a lock on it. The round hole would have been over the lock, thus the picture of the key underneath.
The second 2 I think are buttons.
The 3rd, (w/race car) looks like the face of a pocket watch.
The cast iron looks like molds for "wood like" shingles, that would have been made of clay.
Regardless whether I'm right or wrong, they are all very cool looking pieces!!

They are sections of the burr (grinder) from a burr mill. Looks like a large one. They were used in grinders to grind corn, green bone and other types of feed, grits, etc.

Agree that item #1 is a lock face. Maybe from a padlock.

#2 is a button front.

#3 could be a hat badge of some sort (not military)

#4 may be a watch fob (need to see the back)

its a tough site to learn not user friendly IMO. and its better to post a new thread for each item i think.

Front and back two thin pieces of metal, still thinking tin toy of some sort but a medallion doesn't seem like much to play with

the grinder was a great answer I would have never known to look in that direction I was thinking stove or mold of some sort, thanks tony in sc. I like the lock plate idea too it makes sense. hat pin is interesting, it just seems strange that a griffin would end up buried in a pasture in se Kansas and makes me want to know more like who made it and how old is it. the button would be my guess too but I was hoping just maybe someone would know more about it age / who made it but I'm not holding my breath
