Beautiful pieces of silver! Love the two quarter-cut pieces especially. :treasurechest::thumbsup: (And is that a swastika carved onto the face of that capped bust? Weird)

I can understand the pull to hunt. Look at all those cool finds. I can only dream. Congrats.

Yeah that's what I was thinking underminer, but it's more of a plus sign the tips are centered, like someone tried to make a spanish coin out of it.

Interesting, I bet you're right. Someone was trying to emulate the look of a Spanish silver. In my opinion this defacement makes the coin's history a little bit more interesting, almost a look into someone's thinking back then. Maybe the coin was owned by a disgruntled Spaniard who didn't like the new American nation and so he would deface all the coins he got with the Spanish cross.

Great looking silver! Hope I can find some cut silver tomorrow, finally getting out after 2 months. HH!

Fantastic silver finds! Congratulations!

Way cool finds! Congratulations!! :icon_thumright:
I think the (pervious) capped bust owner, was thinking on making bits (change) - the center of mass seems to be at that point. of the intersection of lines...?

They made bits out of american money? Thought it was mostly spanish? (Sorry for my unlearnedness.) But that sounds pretty reasonable more I look at it.

Very nice grouping of silver, liking the cut pieces.

very nice, congrats

Probably around your neck of the woods.

well well well, id say it was worth the wait! Love that cut silver! and the capped bust, peace dollar, heck all of it!!!
