Left work early to get the last 2.5 hours of light & to finish off an area that Cru'dad & I left undone some time earlier this year. Its on a large field that has a Roman Site nearby but the area I was doing was in hope of a random Celtic or Medieval find. Not today, but at least I got it off my mind.

Knocking unproductive or unfinished areas off the list isn't as glamorous, but it frees up mental space and future plans for more worthwhile hunts so is a valuable part of the process. I hope this constitutes paying your dues and the next hunt bears some nice dividends!

Yes, I'm a completer finisher when it comes to detecting, & even leaving a small area like that 'might' have been where the gold coin laid. So it needed doing.
