Long Island North Shore's Glacial Erratics and Possible Treasure Marker Stone

I was getting some farm goods in Suffolk County today and remembered there are many glacial erratics in the area.

Here's a very nice one on a trail I found, it's shining because the sun is hitting it from between the trees:

This is the same one looking from the opposite side of the trail:

Further up the trail, which is simply carved from rainwater runoff, we see alot of smaller rocks which make almost a natural staircase:

The bottom of the trail leads out to the ocean and some fairly large erratics, these are the small ones:

And these are the large ones, some so large they have become tiny islands:

Curiously I also noticed this one rock on the trail that someone had painted an arrow on. Perhaps something is hidden nearby. I checked in the direction of the arrow but couldn't find anything. Maybe there's something buried near the rock, I had no tools nor time to dig so it'll remain a mystery for now.
