Detector(s) used
Anfibio Multi - T2 Classic - F75+ - G2+....and MANY more tested and reviewed.
Primary Interest:
All Treasure Hunting
Did a video on the LSP. Quick rundown of the features and some air tests of clad/silver and some discrimination on trash items as well.

I did notice that it will overload or whatever you call it on some items even if they have been disced or notched out. Seems anything inside 1.5 inches will set it off even if you go past the disc ID. Figure no problem I can always just lift the coil on grunts like that and if it disappears I know it is disced out. But it is something to note.

Excellent video. Well documented.

Thanks for the video, My dad just bought a lone star pro. His last detector was a Whites coinmaster 5000d, from about 1980, he still uses it some just too heavy for a 77 year old man. So far i keep getting an error when trying to watch your video. After i see it i will forward him the link to youtube. He has a issue trying to understand the controls.

Thanks Steve

He should have no issues swinging this all day. It is extremely light. Not sure why video does not work for ya. Try this link and see if it works.... https://youtu.be/iMv8iXtO-F0

Ok i was able to watch it on that link, Good video i forwarded it to dad it should help him learning the controls. I am looking forward to your field test video. I just ordered a land ranger pro for myself. I got it at an unbelievable price. I will not post anything about were i got it from. But with a set of bounty hunter headphones it was $193.59 and free shipping thanks again Steve

That is a hell of a deal on a LRP. :occasion14: I'll have a live dig video up soon for it. Planned on going yesterday but weather did not allow. Today is pretty windy as well but will probably just record anyways and see how it turns out, hopefully not terrible.

Not going to wait anymore....want to use my new toys!

That's a great deal. You'll really enjoy the BH LRP :hello2:

Here is the first dig video with it....figured I'd just post it in this thread instead of starting a new one in this section.

Good job. The segments break down the possibilities pretty well.

I would think that if the target produces 3 depth arrows, that you are not going to get a hard lock, and a good deep target may travel some. As you get used to the LSP, you may find that deeper targets of silver may show up as zinc or even tabs. I have always figured that what ever my air test results are, expect about 80% of that in the ground. Add 10% if you have ground balance.

There is nothing wrong with a good surface hunter (6"). And when you learn it's language, it's so nice when you can break each segment into tenths with the numeric ID like the QDP, and even more depth with the LRP ground balance. For $30, you are learning and understanding the best way, IMO. You did plenty of homework first, found the ideal starter, and mastered it quickly and effectively. And with support from your loving wife, you are going to escalate quickly in this hobby.

Thank you Phantasman, means alot coming from you. I absolutely consider you an online mentor in this hobby. It was your posts that led me to the LRP, QDP, LSP series. I mean hell....as soon as I saw it at that yard sale my mind immediately went to you and Loco-Digger. Now I have this awesome Sharpshooter 2 as well....just got done with an extended dig today with it and I came away impressed with it. Video up by tonight.

As far as the depth, I am extremely happy with the range these two sit at. I'm not prepared to dig a foot down to find a target unless I am prospecting in the mountains. Parks hunts and private property are what interest me now and for that these are plenty deep. Agree that at 3 arrows it will probably not be stable. I am going to be digging some 6-7-8 inch holes coming up with dines/quarters etc etc. Nothing as elaborate as scannerguy1968 and his test bed...but at least something to show me a good cut off in dirt with the arrows and locks on the IDs.

I am still amazed at the $$$ you paid. Like you were meant to get them. You two have plenty of fun and treasure coming your way. Bring the boy along for good luck with his detector. I'd love to see him find another gold ring. :headbang: Is he still using his detector?

That is how I feel too. When I saw it I'm pretty sure music with a harp started playing.

He still uses it from time to time but now that school has started he does not get out as much. Plus he is 12 so as soon as somebody he knows hits the park he drops it and they go do their kid stuff. My daughter (9) actually likes it more than him and gets grumpy if I go while she is at school. :laughing7:

Thanks for the video I forwarded to my dad. My LRP will be here on Friday. I hope to get to go to my neighbors farm, this weekend. It has been in his family since the 1880s.
I am going to give the tracker iv to my nephew. he is 11. With one condition he gives his BH junior to a poor kid from his school. He gave a lot of his toys to kids before. His dad got him the bounty hunter junior about 3 Christmas ago. and he couldn't wait to use it. In the spring it started melting, and when he got home from school. He got it out to play with in the yard, it wasn't long before he got a hit. He started digging a hole with his dads round pointed shovel. Guess what he found, the water pipe coming from the well, it was about 3 feet down. His dad wasn't amused.

Thanks Steve
