LONE STAR & gold

I asked this under the bounty hunter thread but got no response. So I thought I would try here.
I have a B. H. Lone star I've been using for two years. I've found 9 silver rings 1 stainless steel ring. I hunt in auto notch an dig almost all signals but still haven't found gold. Has anyone found gold (jewelry) with the lone star and what did it show up as on the screen.

I too use the Bounty Hunter Lone star...It's not the top of the line,but it fits my needs for what little detecting I do..will it pick up gold?In all metal mode it will pick up any metal.Regretfully a 14 K gold ring bounces back and forth from 5 cents to low scrap..(The identically same place where a pull tab reads)..
