I found 3 wheat pennies (1925, 1930, 1939) and 2 bullets in a very small, unkempt front yard fronting a street with mostly apartment houses. I noted a bottlecap/zinc read on my Eagle Spectrum in the same yard, but I didn't dig it (dummy!). Later, on my way back to the car, I checked it again. It was a clean read, and deeper than most. I'm glad I decided to dig, because out came this neat-looking lapel pin.

It's a Lone Ranger Victory Corps lapel pin. Kids during WW2 could become a member of the "Corps" and receive the pin in the mail,as premiums in kix or cheerios cereal boxes. With it they got a letter on how important it was for victory to save metal, grow vegetables, buy bonds, etc.

Doubtful that it's fake, but you might want to contact the eBay seller for his opinion.
