I was off work today and decided to go hunting around behind my house. The area behind the fence is pretty overgrown and I reached underneath some brush with the detector and it started going off like crazy. I crawled under there and the first thing I dug was the two ingots. REALLY exciting for a few seconds till I figured out they were lead. It was still enough motivation to go get the tree saw, rake and machete to clear some brush so I could get around better. The next thing was the thing that looks like a wrench. The bottom of the cylinder part is threaded and I'm not sure what it is. A couple of feet from it was the log tongs, then the tie down cleat. The bill is for scale. I also found lots of grommets all over the place.

Are those ingot's lead? I found 4 recently that were lead and they were really heavy. Don't know what they are :icon_scratch:

Nice finds, I like those lead bricks.. I've found one of them but it didn't have the letters imprinted on it like yours!

My first thought would have been, GOLD BARS!!! And then reality sets in and, oh well, maybe next time. Still some neat things though.

I think you are right :P nice finds

Thanks everyone. I'm new to MDing and have been trying to figure out what such a strange assortment of stuff would be doing in a small area. I also found a piece of hex bar stock about 5/16" across the flats and 2 foot long, and part of an old brick wall with mortar crowned on top. The back side of the property is pretty much empty. I've been hunting it with zero discrimination and don't even find pull tabs- very little trash.
