where in ohio you located? south, northeast, northwest? like Terry mentioned lots of research!

I'm in NW Ohio and the Indian heads and large and half cents are everywhere in the farm fields. Get ahold of old plat book from 1800s in your area and find where home sites and other places were when nothing but farm fields are now. Get permission and go find the spots. I've had alot of luck doing this.

Well, mister. The first time you scared the beejeebies out of me, because I knew that you knew that I already gave up that information on here. The. Second time was my epic fail. Sorry. Your list of adjectives for me is getting long. I prefer the first half, so I will try harder. I hope you have a good vacation and look forward to seeing what you find! :hello:

Ohiodigging, welcome to the site and this addictive hobby! My screen name tells you my general location, but I go to "the pond" quite often. I'm a newbie also. I have my own property to hunt. But I know there are lots of trade routes and native American trails. Here's a website you can start researching.

If you're a fisherman, post your pics here:

I hope this helps! I'm looking forward to reading & seeing your posts.
