Well it seems my 11 yr old daughter and her friend finagled a sleepover at 10:45 last night freeing me up to get alittle digging in this morning before the wife and her friend get home from the (get away from the kids and husband weekend.) Went back to the school woodchip playground that produced a 322 coin day ($30.52) for me in November. I guess you could call it the Iceberg of Clad. It's thinning out now but still managed 92 coins today.
So far I've pulled around 700 clad coins out of there. Today was 14 quarters, 38 dimes, 24 nickels, and 16 pennies, a junk ring, junk earring and some other doodads. What is also nice about this place is that I always find a low number of pennies.
Happy Hunting all,
Mike in NJ

That's alot of coins out of one schoolyard. I keep researching and trying, maybe I'll have a day like that soon.

Good Job.

Geez!! Do those kids empty their piggy banks, fill their pockets and then go on the monkey bars and hang upside down? Sounds like you've got yourself a honey hole there! Way to go!

Great place to hunt, evidently.... that's a lot of coins for one playground.

Outstanding !!! Found one place like that had produced over 650 coins in a months time. Always great to find those virgin sites. Congrats!! HH Art...

Nice haul~

Still managed 92 coins?.............Mike, you're spoiled with clad bro! :) Congrats on another good clad haul. I have no clue how you do it. It takes me like 3 hours to bring out 30-40 coins around this part of town.

Remember Ricardo it's a woodchip area so most of the finds can be found by using the ole footswipe. Makes for fast recovery.
The good thing about this is it seems other detectorists must think it's off limits, but the gate is open and the police have seen me there without stopping to say anything.

King-O-Clad....Love the foot swipe technique....Unlocked gate's are a dead giveaway!!Nice haul for sure....Congrat's and HH!!

Man, that's alot of clad for one spot!

When my husband was out with me doing an old school house and we weren't finding anything he said, man I knew we lived in the poor end of town but this is ridiculous! LOL
