LOCAL PARK FIND

Found in a local park about 2 feet down. I'm sure it's some sort of old pipe. But strange location and there was nothing else around it.
Anyone have a clue?

Looks like a hunk of sewer or drain pipe.

What does the crusty stuff on the inside taste like?

yea it looks like a piece of old cast iron sewer pipe. Often they are used as a marker or protection for something like a shut off valve or with nothing around it, it could have just been discarded in the backfill..
