Decided to take a few days off and head down to West Palm to do some detecting and meet up with an old friend that I haven't seen for many years. I hunted behind a couple of hotels without many finds. Wound up over at the pier and park, think it is called Kruesler Park. Decided to do some dry sand area in the morning before the heat became full blast. Guy comes over to me and starts talking about hunting in the water. Turns out to be "The Bulgarian". Was great to meet him!
When I was finished with the dry sand and was going to go in the water, I decided to walk over to the trash can and unload a double handfull of beer bottle caps. While I was walking back to my stuff, this guy coming on the beach looks at my detector and asks; "Did you find any pennies, or nickels and pennies?" I said "Why did you lose a nickle?" He just humphed and walk away.
I saw the most hunters at this beach than I have ever seen anywhere, even Sebastian. There were three other guys in the water and another guy working the wet sand with a DFX or MXT. The surf was so calm I used a mask for the first time ever and had a blast. Found plenty of change. Goes to show, even a well worked area can produce.
Found this Gold Ring in about 10 inches of water. Actually, I was getting out for a water break, so it goes to show, again, that you should always keep the machine on.
Found this a, something, too
