Little silver hinge

Hey guys. Found this little silver hinge today. It's nicely made.. Anyone know what it's off ?

Those holes are oddly place.. I can't tell if someone added some holes later on or if this was made like this...

Looks like one hole was def added.. The rest are uniform ?

the closest I can find are victorian age box hinges.this is merely a guess as I cannot find exact match.One can surmise from its construction that it is from small(ish)box.Jewelry,spice,hope....etc.good luck and nice find.

You have quite an interesting little hinge, and I think it's hand made. Notice none of the holes were machine cut because they have a 'neck' on the back. At first glance, the 2 sides look symmetrical, but they're not exactly . The top curl in the hinge portion is not straight. The shape is Victorian, and judging by its size, I'd say it was on a jewelry or music box or the likes. The original hinge could have broken, and this one was made as a replacement.

Agree'd Breezie. Whats odd is that someone with the skill to make it wouldn't know how to drill and deburr the holes.
Maybe obtained without the holes (Originally intended to be silver soldered) and modified by the end user.
