Wood County, O.--Peter Hockenberry, a great hunter and eccentric. He died in the 1870's at McComb,Hancock County, age 85. A short time before his death he told some of his attendants he buried in the roots of an oak tree on his farm in Jackson township over $1,000.00 in gold and silver, but he could not describe it well enough to be found....
