This little knob was found at an old home site/school site. Everything else found here dates from the late 1800's/early 1900's. The knob says: H.M. Meier, Pat. Dec. 27, 1887, and has an acorn and oak leaves on it. It has threads on the shaft to screw into something, and looks like it is made of brass. Someone suggested(on Today's Finds) that it is a knob for a hand tool/wood working. Any information would be appreciated!!! Thanks for looking~~sandcreek4
