So it's about as big as the sugar tongs, but could we have the dimensions?
I'm thinking jewelry, maybe fraternal? The dog is pulling a travois, if that helps with your googling. Can we see the back?

I'm guessing the native american thing is a few links from a mid 20th C souvenir bracelet.

Are those tongs very thin brass? If so, they are chocolate tongs. They came inside boxes of chocolates around the turn of the 20th C so young ladies could remove candy from the box without getting messy, melty chocolate on their white gloves. They are often marked with the candy maker's name.

more info:
The DFBCo. mark is the mark of the D.F. Briggs Co., which was in business from 1892 through the 1950’s in Attleboro, MA. They made many bracelets, compacts, fobs and more, usually in gold plate.

A google search of the DF Briggs Co, will bring you pages and pages of products manufactured by them, and much history and information on the company. There are more than a dozen places selling similar fobs and you can get an idea of what yours is worth by searching through them.

Of particular interest was a link I found to a downloadable book with information on the company:
http://books.google.com/books?id=ikcLYYgXdBkC&pg=PA391&lpg=PA391&dq=D.+F.+Briggs

Enjoy,
Lisa
