Only got to detect about 150 yards near lighthouse in Sanibel due to a massive storm that moved in, and high tide had already taken its effect on island so making it around lighthouse point was more difficult than usual due to surges being 3’ high and having to wade in the water to make it around and find a small patch to detect. We ended up pulling about $3.00 in change out from between there and the spot we started from just before the lighthouse beach. Really wish we could get inland and find some older places or other stuff to hit. I took a panoramic picture of the storm cell that had already moved over us and was causing the waters to white cap. I had to end up putting my detector down and throwing a life ring to some kid out there who was playing in the surf and got caught in a rip current. Luckily for him I was there because he had no clue how to get out of it. Oh well, todays a new day and wishing I could find some Florida folks to hunt with.
