Any idea

I believe it's a make-up compact case for powder

Way too small to be a cigarette case, unless made for storing tobacco.....

That small ?

In the early years (prior to the term King Size) cigarettes (tailor made) were very short. I remember folks setting around the table with papers and a can of tobacco and rolling their smokes for the next day and putting them in a similar case.

King size rolling papers was around 80 mm. Regular papers were 65-70 mm. Still bigger then what looks to be the OP’s object.

Well I will throw ya a "bone"...

Your mark is called "crown over rampant lion" / "crowned rampant lion".

Hope it helps in your quest.

It would help if the poster gave the measurements. Older cigarette cases were indeed small, about 2 1/2 x 3" . I agree it could also be a compact case.
