Hi nhbenz sorry about the lack of info. Hope this will help.
The lion seems to be a copper & brass alloy. It is thin stamped with no detail or marking on the back , has a nice warm green patina, found in south east PA the site is pasture between a late 1700s farm house and what remains of a mill foundation and raceway that was mid 1700s. Some of the copper coins are english George II,George III, most are in ruff shape oldist readable date is 1742 up tp 1804 large cent, silver are all spainish 1 reals (3 total) 1769,1793 and unreadable allso 2 silver cuff links 1 is octagonal with no shank the other is oval with link and about half of the other side all 3 have the same engraved flower resembling a wild rose, buttons around 50 are what you would expect mostly mostly flat one pice about half spun tomback with a flier two pice waterbury button co back mark the face has P&R with horizontal lines gold gilt probably railroad but could not find it yet, 2 copper thimbles and a bunch of horse tack allso 4 modern coins just to @#$% me off. Hope this helps I would realy like to identify this artifact.
Thanks for looking and good hunting
Jeff
