I went out today with a friend of mine on his first detecting trip. He used my Ace, and I took my Prizm 2 (first time out with it) and we headed out to Lincoln Beach, which is the site of a long abandoned and ruined amusement park on Lake Ponchartrain. All in all it was a good day, didn't find anything too old or exciting, but I came away with $8.55 in assorted change, 7 .45 casings and 2 slugs, 5 .40 cal casings, a 9 mil casing, a house key, and several fishing weights. And a really neat fish tooth. I'm not sure how much my friend ended up with, hopefully he'll join the forum after todays hunt and post his totals too.
I have to say I really like the Prizm 2, it did a really good job out there today and almost every target I dug was a keeper which isn't bad considering there were 71 coins in my bag by the end of the day, plus the other stuff. Not at all bad for the first day out with a new machine on a site strewn with trash.
Ok so the pic is a bit blurred, still messing with this camera.
Happy hunting!
