hit the cornfield one last time for 2013 last night, I dunno the stalks are still all over the place, last year I think the farmer did something different because I was able to see dirt, not stalks when I hit the field the first time in april, I was making surface finds of pottery & buttons like crazy, so this year they just cut them and didn't turn anything over, oh well. anyhow I hit the field for about 4 hrs, and it was cooooold, the top inch of dirt was a frozen crust too. managed what I think is my first lead ball, and another couple buttons, nothing too extravagant, just nice to get out. I hope I can get out again this year but with hunting season approaching, the holidays, and my trip to sanfransisco, It doesn't look likely. I had an AWESOME year and will make a best of 2013 thread closer to years end. Thanks for looking and HH while we still can!! Photo11250747.jpgPhoto11250747_1.jpg

probably turned it over to plant a winter cover crop like rye....

Nice finds. We need an "easy" button to hold off winter, time, and things we have to do , so we can get some detecting done! HH!
