Like a monkey and a football.....my very first time MD'ing today

I received my AT Pro last week and finally had some time this morning to go out and see what I could find in the rain. I went to the park that is close by and learned quite a bit in just a couple of hours.

Here are my keeper finds. I found lots of bottle tops and pull tabs that have gone to the recycle bin already.

I'm already looking forward to doing better the next time.

1 quarter (1972)
10 pennies (only 1 older than 1984)
1 wing nut
1 ring (costume jewelry)
2 unidentified metal things (parts of something modern)

Congrats those are grate finds I have only been doing this for a year now and I have found some very good very good finds some silver coins 1800's and a king George 2 copper from 1738 it just gets better and better each time you go out and your first coin Your first silver your first larg cent your first everything. the first is the best that's what we do it 4 it's always a great hunting never know what you're going to dig

Good going!! Just a note though, if you are using the Garrett land headphones on your AT Pro in the rain they may not last. The machine is waterproof, but the land headphones aren't. One of my hunting buddies had his go bad from getting wet hunting in the rain. He sent them back and Garrett gave him a new pair, but it is easier not to use them in the rain.

Thanks for the heads up on the headphones. I didn't go with the phones today because of the rain. Also, I was confident that I would be the only person around.

I'm sure if one of you seasoned and grizzled veterans would have seen me you would have had a nice laugh. I felt like a fish out of water for sure.
