Just trying to get a good sense for a good light detector. I have a Tesoro Silver Max now. Would like to move up to something a little better with a visual display easily seem by these older eyes.
I know the XP's are good, but a bit expensive at least for me. Simplex is good but almost 3 pounds, which doesn't sound like a lot but after awhile it can get heavy, at least thats what I read anyways. Mostly hopefully hunting coins and smaller items.
Is there anything good under $500 ?
Quest looks good but service is probably non existent. Looking for a longterm machine. Hey I still have the Silver Max, and the company is gone as well, If that tells you anything.

Look at he classifieds on this forum.
I saw a Deus and coils for sale.

2.4 lbs that's heavy hitter. :laughing7:

How about the Minelab 440, comes in around 2.6 pounds? Plus it uses plain old AA batteries, although switching to Lithium Ion AA's might help too.
