Friday I was able to get back out to a spot I hunted last month where I pulled a LOT of wheats but zero silver. Today, when I dug a couple wheats I happy. When I dug a silver Rosie I was extremely happy. When I dug the Walker I was ecstatic, and then the Morgan came up I was in shock.
I still can't believe it, but I found another silver dollar! I have been hunting for about 31 years. I never found one in the first 30, and now I have 2 this year. I am soooo glad I had my camera with me to shoot video. Like last time, this was a PERFECT silver dollar signal. It read as 6 inches deep and was actually about 8 deep. When I saw that huge rim in the hole I was in shock! I had dug several dollar signals, and all were junk (as is typical). This one much newer than my last (1921) but it's in incredible condition, and I would bet it was actually lost in 1921. oh, and I DIDN'T scratch this one!
There is a LOT of trash in this spot and I was working it SLOW with my 8 inch coil. I can't wait to get back out there when this weekends rain moves out and the ground has a day to dry.
