I found this light bulb screw base in a place where I would not have expected a light bulb to have been used. It probably would have required a generator, since the nearest power outlet is over 500' away on the neighbor's property.

The center contact has broken free and I haven't located it yet. Something resembling writing appears near part of the edge on the glass side, but it's hard to read, maybe a UL number ending in "45". I think it's aluminum, target ID rings up around 77.

If it is aluminum, I'm guessing it's likely post-1950s, and maybe even post '60s.

Anybody know if there's a way to more precisely determine its vintage?

Hmmm reminds me of a bad joke...

"how many Tnet members does it take to date a light bulb base" ?

"I don't know... how many"

"One... with the internet"

kids love to break bulbs , that being said bulbs will turn up where no building has ever stood.
older bulbs had a copper end , yours being made of aluminum is not too old . but you are digging non ferrous so good things will come if you keep at it. good luck..
